Museum Square

The Museum Square, located in the heart of Cluj Napoca is one of the oldest markets in the city. It is named after Transylvania History Museum.
The Old City Square had different names throughout history: in was known as the Small Square in the Middle Ages and Karolina Square in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. Today it is known as The Museum Square.
In the eastern side of the market, you will find the Franciscan monastery building. In the heart of the pedestrian area of The Museum Square, the Karolina obelisk rises.
Being a pedestrian area, the Museum Square is an opportunity to relax and enjoy the summer events and fairs that are organized here.
