The Justice Palace

Representative for the architecture of the beginning of the 20th century, the building is part of an architectonic ensemble from Avram Iancu Square (“Lucian Blaga” National Theater and Opera House, The Romanian Orthodox Metropolitan Church, Cluj County Prefect's Headquarter etc.). It was built between 1898-1902, according to architect Wagner Gyula’s plans, in eclectic style, with friezes richly decorated with vegetal motifs and ronde-bosse figures. The building, an historical and architectural monument, is listed as national patrimony. Nowadays, it houses the Courts of Justice and other courts of law.
